Tottenham injury news: Doctor shares surgery update on Fraser Forster after what he’s heard
Tottenham goalkeeper Fraser Forster is not expected to return to individual training until mid April, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that while he will not be needing surgery for a foot fracture, it is something that will keep him out for the mid-term.
On 16 February, Ange Postecoglou claimed that he had picked up the injury in training.
Discussing the state of play with Forster exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “It’s unfortunate because it happened in training and foot fractures are difficult to deal with because of the load through the area.
“From what I’ve heard, it does not sound like he’ll need surgery but his timeline was around two months since he picked up an injury.
“So, I would expect him to be in individual training come the middle of April so he should be out for another five or six weeks.“
Forster has not played a single league game for Tottenham this season
The 35-year-old has played just one game this season – the entire 120 minutes in the League Cup defeat against Fulham.
The Englishman has been the second choice keeper for Spurs but has found game time hard to come by.
Guglielmo Vicario has been consistent and injury-free between the sticks, making it nigh on impossible for Postecoglou to consider replacing him.

Forster will still have another year left on his deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the end of the season.
