Tottenham hailed after performing U-turn on ‘bizarre’ announcement
Tottenham will be happy to receive some much-needed praise following a new announcement that has left supporters proud to wear the badge.
Spurs’ form in the Premier League has been dreadful. However, Ange Postecoglou still has a chance to save the Lilywhites’ season by lifting the UEFA Europa League.
Tottenham will take on Manchester United at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday (21 May).
Supporters are expected to travel in their thousands to Bilbao in the hope of watching Tottenham win a first trophy in 17 years.
To mark such a monumental occasion, Daniel Levy has been busy thinking up ways to show fans that their support is never far from his and the minds of all those at the North London club.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to screen Europa League final
Spurs will be hosting a screening of the Europa League final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for those supporters unable to make it to Bilbao.
It was initially announced that additional screens would not be placed on the pitch due to the Premier League fixture against Brighton on Sunday (25 May), a decision criticised by Spurs supporters.
Ticket | Price |
Adult | £10 |
Child | £5 |
However, Tottenham have since performed a popular U-turn, confirming that extra screens will be on full display at the stadium.
Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – found it strange that initially extra screens weren’t going to be on display, and has praised Spurs for reversing this decision.
“I mean, in this situation, it just seems as though common sense prevailed,” Wenham said.
“It was bizarre for the club to announce that they would be hosting a screening without putting additional screens on the pitch.
“I understand there might have been some difficulties, but at least they have now found a workaround. It makes perfect sense to have screens on the pitch. Therefore, I’m pleased that decision has been reached.”

Tottenham to profit from stadium screening
As well as demonstrating his dedication to supporters, Tottenham are set to profit from the screening through the sale of food, drinks and tickets, which are currently priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children.
This could enable Tottenham to operate a little more freely in the summer transfer window to ensure a repeat of the current Premier League season does not happen.
