Tottenham forced to cash in on homegrown talent as Mikey Moore claim made

Tottenham could be forced to sell academy products to comply with PSR, according to Martin Allen.

Ange Postecoglou’s side spent £124.9millon on new additions in the summer [Football Transfers] and appear to be keen on now making further additions to the squad.

This has seen the likes of Randal Kolo Muani linked with a North London switch [Mirko Di Natale], but former Leicester City and Brentford boss Allen believes player sales will have to come first.

Allen also suggested the Lilywhites could part ways with academy stars to raise transfer funds for future deals, but he does not believe Mikey Moore will be one of those sold by Daniel Levy.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, BBC Radio London pundit Allen said: “It’s a shame that Spurs will probably forced by this ruling to sell homegrown talent.

I don’t agree with it but it is the way it is at the moment with these rules.

Tottenham will be looking at players who have done well at academy level coming through to the first team.

I don’t think they will sell Mikey Moore. He’s an excellent player, but there may be others that are being looked at to be cashed in on in the summer.

They might be given the rest of the season to see if they can step up but have question marks over how to raise money with them in the summer.

Tottenham could cash in on Mikey Moore down the line

There is no doubt that the 17-year-old is one of the most promising prospects in N17 and even the Premier League. This has seen him make 10 first-team appearances for the Lilywhites.

Although that is hugely positive for Spurs, it will make the winger a desirable target for other clubs across Europe, which could see Daniel Levy and Co. bring in a large fee.

However, it goes without saying that supporters will be furious if either of those are sold at a stage in which they have so much to offer Tottenham.
