Tottenham fitness checks ongoing ahead of potential £25m Antonio Nusa signing

Tottenham may be conducting checks on Antonio Nusa’s fitness if they want to sign him this summer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has reacted to the developments surrounding the 19-year-old Club Brugge forward’s situation ahead of the transfer window.

He was on the cusp of joining Spurs in January before Brentford hijacked the deal to attempt to buy him for £25million (Sky Sports) and they failed to sign him because he failed his medical.

In an interview with VG (via, The Evening Standard, 21 March), the Norway international has claimed that the injury issues have cleared up.

Discussing the state of play with Nusa’s injury exclusively with Tottenham NewsDr Brara doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “The comments are so vague that it’s impossible to even guess what may have been the issue.

The key here and this pertains to Spurs’ interest, is that he and his medical team looked to have gotten to the bottom of the issue.

Of course, Spurs or any other team will do their own medical so time will tell if they’re comfortable or not to acquire his services.

There could be checks ongoing if they are to sign him in the summer.

Tottenham could swoop in with a deal for Antonio Nusa

It is plausible that Spurs will be keeping tabs on Nusa ahead of the summer as he is a long-term option for the club.

If the teenager is given a choice between Brentford and the Lilywhites, he will most certainly fancy the latter as they could offer him Champions League football and the chance to compete for trophies.

At Brentford, it will be another relegation battle and he will not get the sort of global recognition as he would in North London.
