Tottenham: Finance Expert reacts to brand new £500m+ announcement

Dan Plumley has insisted that Tottenham have benefitted from their work off the pitch after their turnover exceeded £500million for the first time in its history.

The football finance expert admitted that the new stadium and increased commercial deals are key to driving revenue upwards in north London.

UEFA money was said to have helped the cause, with the need for Champions League qualification highlighted in the latest accounts.

“It shows the development of Spurs off the pitch over the past couple of years,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.

“We’ve spoken a lot about the stadium now coming to fruition, we’ve spoken about their increase in commercial deals which is driving that revenue up and over £500million for the first time.

That is a really significant benchmark for the club moving forward and a sign of the work they’ve put in off the pitch over the past couple of years to grow that revenue.”

Tottenham and Daniel Levy making millions

Despite the positive figures off the pitch, there are still many controversial moves that are not sitting well with the fans right now at Tottenham.

Take Levy’s bonus of £3million for example, especially after announcing ticket decisions such as price increases that did not go down well.

Looking at this new reveal on its own though, there is no doubt how positive it is.
