Tottenham finalise ‘unbelievable’ seven-figure transfer with Leeds – Exclusive

Tottenham are said to have offered an impressive sum to secure the arrival of a Leeds forward.

Daniel Levy has always been meticulous with his finances, particularly where the summer market is concerned. However, there have been instances where he has offered a large sum for players with potential.

These have not always worked out, but that has not deterred him from trying to bring the best young talent to North London.

And it seems that the Tottenham Chairman is prepared to front the bill for another time this summer.

Tottenham sign Oliver Boast for £1million

Oliver Boast announced his departure from Leeds United via Instagram on Sunday (20 July).

The forward was not confirmed as part of Tottenham’s initial intake for next season’s Under-18s squad, as a few details were still being ironed out ahead of his move from Leeds.

But as reported by Lilywhite Rose via X (21 July), Boast has now started as a Tottenham player. He joined the Under-18s on their flight to Ireland on Monday, as they prepare to face Cork City’s Under-19s on Wednesday (23 July).

And Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – is excited by the potential of the player Spurs are signing.

“Boast is joining from Leeds,” Wenham said.

“Because he’s moved from one academy to another, he had to go through the FA’s five-step programme to make sure that everything was done correctly, and that compensation was paid.

“I understand the fee Tottenham have paid is around £1million, so that shows you how highly regarded Boast is.

“I spoke to some parents of the players who played against him at an Under-16s tournament last year, who said he was unbelievable. Therefore, it seems like a massive pickup for Tottenham and one to get excited about in the future. “

Tottenham continue to develop their young core

Tottenham have put great effort into developing their young core in recent months.

Mikey Moore became a reference for all academy talents after his stellar debut season, where he became a UEFA Europa League winner.

With more youngsters climbing the ranks each week, Tottenham are set for years to come.
