Tottenham fans urged to protest v Manchester City as ‘alarming’ claim made
Tottenham fans need to keep pushing if they want to force Daniel Levy and ENIC out of the club.
Countless supporters took to the streets to protest Levy and ENIC on Sunday (16 February).
A march took place ahead of the 1-0 Premier League win over Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with a smaller group of supporters partaking in an organised sit-in after full-time in North London.
A fan group known as ‘Change for Tottenham‘ were behind these demonstrations, which appeared to be the most well-attended protests against Levy and ENIC to date. As a result, Change for Tottenham have been urged to build on this momentum.
Tottenham fans to protest ahead of Manchester City clash
James Maddison responded to Roy Keane in style, scoring the match-winner against United to ensure back-to-back Premier League wins for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Therefore, off the back of this win and with players returning from injury, confidence will be high when Spurs travel to Portman Road to take on Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Saturday (22 February).
Tottenham’s next home match comes four days later when they host Manchester City on Wednesday 26 February, and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has called for another protest to take place ahead of kick-off.
“For a club of Spurs’ size not to have won anything for such a long time is alarming,” Wenham said.
“Therefore, I think the protests have come at the right time because it does seem as though the ownership group have taken their eyes off the ball when it comes to sporting success at the club.
“Groups such as Change for Tottenham have done well thus far. However, they need to strike while the iron is hot and announce that a protest will be happening against Manchester City immediately.
“That will help keep the momentum going, which is important if people want change.”
Daniel Levy must respond to fan frustration at Tottenham
Levy has worked wonders when it comes to commercial success at Tottenham.
However, when it comes to the footballing side of things in North London, it is clear that fans are less than satisfied with the work Levy is doing.

Therefore, if he wants to drown out the noise and get fans back on his side, the 62-year-old needs to start producing a winning formula on the pitch, as well as off it.
