Tottenham Expert: Spurs should ‘finalise a permanent transfer’ for Joe Rodon in January
Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…
John Wenham believes Tottenham should look to “finalise a permanent transfer” for Joe Rodon in January with the Wales international impressing on loan at Leeds United.
Rodon joined Leeds from Spurs on a season-long loan during the summer with the centre-back clearly not a part of Ange Postecoglou’s immediate plans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He has been a key player for Daniel Farke at Elland Road so far this season, starting 22 of the club’s 24 Championship matches since his arrival, contributing to eight clean sheets in that time and helping the Whites to fourth spot in the table.

Wenham believes that the club should be doing what they can to resolve the 26-year-old’s permanent future this month as Postecoglou continues to reshape his squad at Hotspur Way.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “I think there will be some outgoings in January.
“If you were to ask me now, there’s still 17 or 18 players that I don’t see being part of the squad in the long-term, and quite a few of those players are out on loan at the moment.
“For example, Rodon, he has impressed so far during his time at Leeds United, and Spurs should be looking to finalise a permanent transfer for him in January. Perhaps Leeds would be interested in a deal?

“I think he will definitely leave permanently, whether that is now or during the summer, and there’s still lots more players that than need to be moved on from the club after him.”
In other Tottenham news, one BBC pundit believes the club could turn heads with a £50million offer for a Premier League striker.
