Tottenham Expert ‘impressed’ by Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, urges Spurs to ‘get on with it’

Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…

John Wenham has urged Tottenham to “crack on” with their January transfer business, admitting he has been “impressed” by Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.

Ange Postecoglou’s side are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements with both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero sidelined with hamstring injuries.

Tottenham News has been told (31 December) that Spurs are preparing to offer Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg plus cash to Fulham for the services of Adarabioyo this month as they search for those much-needed reinforcements.

With this in mind, Wenham admits he is a fan of the central defender, but insists Tottenham must get on with negotiations quickly.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “There are no excuses in January, we don’t have time to wait around like we always do.

“There can be no negotiating until the last seconds of the window just to try and save a small amount of money, we just need to crack on and get on with it.

“We need at least one quality centre-back through the door in the first week of the window.

“I have been impressed with Adarabioyo’s form in recent weeks for Fulham. I heard the Fulham fans singing his name at Goodison Park after he scored the winning penalty to send them through to the Carabao Cup semi-final.

“There are players out there that we could get, but we’ve got to put the money down and just get on with it. The time for excuses is gone, signings must be made imminently.”

In other Tottenham news, one 33 per cent Spurs ace could be days away from an exit after a recent decision made by Postecoglou.
