Tottenham Exclusive: Josh Keeley continues to train at Hotspur Way despite loan exit
Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…
John Wenham has revealed that Tottenham Under-21 goalkeeper Josh Keeley will continue to train at Hotspur Way “two or three times a week” despite securing a loan switch to National League side Barnet.
Keeley has made 30 appearances for Spurs’ Under-21s since joining the club in 2022 from League of Ireland outfit St Patrick’s Athletic.
He was a key player for Wayne Burnett’s side this year, who are flying high, sitting top of Premier League 2 with a 100 per cent record in the competition. The goalkeeper made nine starts in all competitions, keeping four clean sheets in that time.

Spurs recently announced that the 20-year-old would join up with the Bees on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign (Tottenham Hotspur Official Website, 4 January).
He has already become a key player for Barnet during his short time with the club, starting all three of their fixtures since arriving.
Despite temporarily leaving Spurs, Wenham has revealed there is a plan in place for the North London side to track the progress of the talented youngster.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “I understand as part of the loan, he will still be training at Hotspur Way two or three times a week so that Spurs coaches can keep an eye on him as well.
“I would like to see him do a full year in EFL League One next season, but for now the plan is to get this season out of the way and get 20 appearances under his belt before securing him his next loan move.”

Keeley has featured on both of the club’s pre-season tours since he joined Spurs, and is clearly a highly-rated talent at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou has another youth sensation to keep an eye on after an Under-18 forward netted for Spurs in the FA Youth Cup.
