Tottenham Exclusive: Daniel Levy ready to do £15m Bryan Gil deal

Daniel Levy is ready to sell Bryan Gil for a fee of £15million, Tottenham News understands.

It has been almost three years since Gil arrived at Tottenham from Sevilla.

Spurs paid the La Liga side a fee of £21.6million as well as Erik Lamela to bring the Spaniard to North London (Sky Sports News, 26 July 2021).

Gil has struggled since arriving in England, twice being sent back to Spain on loan, first to Valencia and then to his former club, Sevilla, where he lifted the UEFA Europa League during the 2022/23 season.

Following a disappointing spell in the Premier League, it appears Gil’s future now lies elsewhere with Levy ready to accept a cut-price deal for the winger.

Daniel Levy ready to sell Tottenham forward Bryan Gil at a loss

A recruitment source with close links to Spurs has exclusively revealed to Tottenham News that Levy would be prepared to accept an offer of £15million for Gil.

This would represent a loss of at least £6.6million, in addition to whatever fee Tottenham valued Lamela at when he was sent to Sevilla as part of the deal to bring Gil to the club.

Fabrizio Romano previously revealed via X (11 April) that Gil is only interested in a permanent move, with a third loan switch away from Spurs currently not of interest to the 23-year-old.

And Tottenham News understands that Levy is now prepared to make that happen.

Gil has started just twice under Ange Postecoglou, making 11 total appearances in all competitions under the Australian.

Since arriving at Tottenham the forward has managed just 42 appearances, providing two assists and failing to find the back of the net in a Spurs shirt.

In other Tottenham news, the club have been backed to finalise a “major” signing after a £40million transfer reveal.
