Tottenham: Destiny Udogie prediction emerges after what the left-back did this week
John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose believes Tottenham left-back Destiny Udogie can become a “dominant force” for Italy ahead of the 2024 UEFA European Championships in Germany.
Udogie has been in fine form this season under Ange Postecoglou.
This fine form was rewarded with a first senior call-up to the Italy national team earlier this season, and the 21-year-old was handed his second start for his country during the March international break.
Despite a tricky evening, Wenham believes the left-back is destined for greatness with his nation ahead of the Euros this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham, the founder of reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, said: “Udogie would have been desperate to get a start for Italy, so I was pleased to see him do that.
“I imagine he will really establish himself now ahead of the Euros and I expect to see him as their first-choice left-back for the competition.
“Obviously over the next five years, I imagine he will become the dominant force in that position for Italy.”
Destiny Udogie can become a world-class left-back under Ange Postecoglou at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Udogie has been a key player in North London this season.
His impressive start to life in the Premier League has clearly wowed those within the Italian national team, and the young defender will be looking to finish the season strong with Tottenham.
If he can maintain his form between now and May, he will no doubt have a seat on the plane to Germany, and will likely be a starter at the Euros.

Considering how young he is, Spurs supporters will be excited about the prospect of just how good Udogie can become.
