Tottenham defender to make debut v Brighton after contract development
Tottenham supporters could witness a Premier League debut during their final game of the season against Brighton as a new contract development emerges.
Tottenham are still celebrating a 1-0 victory against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday (21 May).
While Brennan Johnson’s goal was the difference, heroics from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero on the night saw off Man United’s advances to make Spurs’ Europa League dreams a reality.
Now, as celebrations continue, another promising defender could make his debut in the Premier League against Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (25 May).

Dante Cassanova ‘could make Premier League debut v Brighton’
Cassanova has been named in several senior matchday squads this season. However, he has yet to make his debut for Tottenham.
The defender had a strong season with Spurs’ Under-21s, which did not go unnoticed in North London.

According to Lilywhite Rose (17 May), Cassanova has signed a new deal at Tottenham after his contract was set to expire in June.
While the length of the contract is still unknown, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the 20-year-old has impressed enough to see playing time against Brighton.
“Cassanova has already been in the first-team squad on multiple occasions,” Wenham said.
“It is important to keep numbers around the squad, and obviously, he’s impressed Postecoglou and his coaching staff enough to keep getting on the bench.
“He is another one who could make his debut against Brighton as a reward for all of his hard work this season.”
Postecoglou should play Cassanova against Brighton
The couple of days following Tottenham’s Europa League win have been filled with celebrations and late nights.
With nothing left to play for in the Premier League and the end of the season in sight, Postecoglou should give Cassanova, as well as a few other youngsters, the opportunity to feature against Brighton.
If not as a reward for their performances this season, and the chance to observe their quality, but to allow the senior players to rest after an eventful couple of nights.
