Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie injury update shared by Doctor

Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie did not have any option but to get the surgery done on his left quadriceps, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert believes that there could’ve been initial confusion at the club about whether or not they wanted to reveal the nature of the setback.

However, it was later reported in the Evening Standard that it was a quadriceps injury and that he’ll be out for two months, missing the rest of the season.

Discussing the state of play with Udogie’s injury exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

My take is there may have been some initial confusion about wanting to reveal the injury or not but clearly that was then communicated by the club.

The official statement did not mention it but then it was revealed it’s a left quadriceps injury.

The quadriceps are the muscles on the front of your leg, involved heavily in running and kicking.

The good news is he has the off-season now to recover and return after a couple of months.

It perhaps reached a stage where he couldn’t push himself until the end of the season.

Tottenham will miss Destiny Udogie amid recent injury blow

Udogie will be a big miss for Spurs in this tricky run-in where they are looking to finish in the top four.

They’ve not only got Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool but also a tricky fixture against rivals Chelsea left.
