Tottenham: Daniel Levy set for ‘Phenomenal Loss’ on Bryan Gil amid Fabrizio Romano update
John Wenham believes Daniel Levy must accept a “phenomenal loss” on Tottenham forward Bryan Gil after a Fabrizio Romano update emerged.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has urged the club to cut ties with Gil.
It comes after Fabrizio Romano revealed via X (11 April) that the Spurs forward will only accept a permanent exit, with a loan move currently not of interest to the Spaniard.
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – feels that the North London side must do whatever it takes to move Gil on.
“Gil hasn’t contributed anything at Tottenham, it just hasn’t worked out for him,” Wenham said.
“It is time for him to be moved on this summer, even if that means Levy accepting a phenomenal loss on him.
“This probably sounds harsh, but I just can’t see Spurs getting more than £5million for him because he hasn’t contributed at all this season.
“His market value was arguably highest after his loan spell with Sevilla last season where he won the UEFA Europa League, that is when he should have been sold.
“But he hung around, and Tottenham will need to take what they can get for him now.”
Daniel Levy must sell Tottenham forward Bryan Gil this summer
There is very little point in Gil sticking around in North London.
It is clear that the 23-year-old is not in Ange Postecoglou’s long-term plans, and paying his wages for another season would simply just be a waste of money.

The forward should be sold, and any money Tottenham recoup for him should be put toward a new marquee signing.
In other Tottenham news, a points deduction has been mooted in North London after a Premier League announcement last week.
