Tottenham continue to benefit from ‘one of the best in the business’ Fabio Paratici – Spurs Expert

John Wenham is delighted that Tottenham continue to work alongside Fabio Paratici, who he has described as “one of the best in the business.”
A little less than a year ago it was reported by The Guardian (21 April 2023) that Paratici had left his post as managing director of football at Tottenham after he was hit with a 30-month ban from football and saw his appeal against the punishment rejected.
Elements of his worldwide ban have since been lifted, which allows him to continue working in the game in some capacity, including on a consultancy basis for Spurs where he is still seen at matches and maintains a close relationship with chairman Daniel Levy (Standard Sport, 31 January).
Ange Postecoglou touched on the subject, telling Standard Sport, “Obviously I know Fabio and every now and then we’ll exchange messages or calls. He’s a smart guy and you can see that he’s got a great eye for talent but within the workings of the club and what I do, I don’t have that kind of engagement.
It was a fantastic January for Spurs, who brought Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner to the club, while Fabrizio Romano revealed late on Deadline Day (Thursday 1 February) that Lucas Bergvall had rejected Barcelona in favour of a move to North London.
Off the back of this impressive business, Wenham has piled the praise on Paratici.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “It was interesting to hear Postecoglou confirm that Paratici is still working alongside the club.
“That is something which has been widely reported and a topic that I have discussed with people plenty of times, but it has now essentially been confirmed by Postecoglou himself.
“It appears to be business as usual at Hotspur Way, and when it comes to talent recruiters, Spurs have one of the best in the business, if not the best, who is helping the club undergo this impressive rebuild.”
