Tottenham: Bidding war on the cards for Leeds United loanee Joe Rodon amid ‘Impressive’ claim

John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose has suggested a bidding war could break out for Tottenham loanee Joe Rodon after his “impressive” form with Wales.

Rodon has had a fine season on loan from Tottenham with Leeds United at Elland Road.

That fine form has translated onto the international stage, with the centre-back starting both of Wales’ 2024 UEFA Euros qualifiers during the March international break.

Although Wales were unsuccessful in their bid to reach the tournament, Rodon can head back to Leeds with his head held high after his fine displays helped the Dragons concede just one goal across both matches.

In light of these performances, Wenham feels confident about Spurs’ chances of securing a lucrative fee for the Welshman.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham, the founder of reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, said: “I thought Rodon was really impressive for Wales over the international break. I don’t think it will be enough to convince Ange Postecoglou, but he did look good.

“That will only improve his reputation ahead of a departure this summer, and if he can capture the interest of some other clubs apart from Leeds United, that could spell good news.

“Other clubs being interested will only drive his price up, which is promising for Tottenham.”

Could Joe Rodon earn a move away from Tottenham to a Premier League club this summer?

Rodon has certainly proved himself to be more than capable in the Championship this season, and after his displays for Wales, it would be a surprise if a few clubs weren’t circling.

For the 26-year-old, he will likely be keen to play in the Premier League again, and his impressive form might have perhaps captured the attention of some clubs lower down in England’s top flight.

If the Whites were to fail in their bid for promotion, Rodon would perhaps be tempted to see if he has any offers from elsewhere, with his Tottenham career seemingly all but over.

In other Tottenham news, Manchester United would bite Spurs’ hand off to sign one of their star players.
