Tottenham backed over 2024 transfer push for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi and Fulham counterpart Tosin Adarabioyo
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…
Tottenham are likely to be involved when transfer pushes are made in the summer for Marc Guehi and Tosin Adarabioyo says Paul Robinson.
Sky Sports reported on 11 December that Crystal Palace ace Guehi was of interest in North London while The Telegraph followed up on 19 December that his Fulham counterpart Adarabioyo was also on Spurs’ list of options, prior to the deal to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa this month being agreed.
Robinson believes both the Premier League centre-backs would be “fantastic” additions to Ange Postecoglou’s squad but with the Romanian already in doesn’t expect any movement on either during the January transfer window, as they are almost “impossible” moves midseason.

The former England keeper thinks it would be no surprise to see Spurs go after them at the end of the season, by which time Adarabioyo, 26, will be out of contract and available for a free transfer.
Guehi, 23, on the other hand, will still have two years left at that point and the England international is unlikely to be cheap.
An injury crisis at Spurs this term, coupled with regular suspensions for Cristian Romero, has seen Postecoglou frequently field four full-backs in defence, but with Dragusin signed and Micky van de Ven back fit the picture is looking a lot stronger.

Robinson told Tottenham News of the two top-flight targets: “They’d both be fantastic additions. They’re both great players, both fantastic centre-halves, but those deals don’t get done in January, or very rarely get done, and if they do you’re talking about clubs who are in a dire situation needing a centre-half and overpay.
“Those two players will be highly-touted in the summer, they’ll be sought-after, and I’m sure Spurs will be in the mix for both of them.
“But those types of deals are near-on impossible to do in January.”
In other Tottenham news, Robinson claims one first-team player’s “time’s up” at Spurs because the manager doesn’t rate him.
