Tottenham attacker Timo Werner medical claim emerges amid transfer deadline news
Timo Werner is unlikely to require another medical if Tottenham decide to sign him permanently, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Germany international is currently ruled out with a potential Grade 3 hamstring setback.
The focus, as things stand, the focus would be on the 28-year-old’s rehab, to ensure that he’s back in time for pre-season training.
Discussing the state of play with Werner exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“Werner has been ruled out with a Grade 3 hamstring injury at least and currently, the focus will be on his rehab.
“If Spurs are to sign him permanently in the summer, they will have already made their checks on his medical history and gauged his fitness in the time he’s been at the club.
“If he’s working with the Spurs physios and not the RB Leipzig ones, it’s unlikely he would require another medical.“
Tottenham will have to make a decision on Timo Werner soon
On 22 May, Ange Postecoglou revealed that there is a deadline for the Lilywhites to make the loan move permanent this summer.
However, he did not commit one way or another as to what his preference would be for the 28-year-old.

Werner played 13 league games for Spurs this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
