Tottenham an ‘incredibly well-run club’ thanks to Daniel Levy – Spurs Expert
Daniel Levy deserves more credit for his role in making Tottenham an “incredibly well-run club,” according to Spurs expert John Wenham.
It was recently revealed in the latest edition of the Deloitte Football Money League that Tottenham’s revenue for the 2022/23 season rose by £106.4million from the season before.
While other clubs were quiet in January, Spurs made three signings, bringing in Radu Dragusin, Timo Werner and Lucas Bergvall – who will arrive in North London in the summer.
And Wenham believes that Levy’s work at the club is finally beginning to pay off, having previously discussed how these latest figures will only increase the club’s value.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “I appreciate a lot of football fans aren’t really interested in finances off the pitch, but it is important to look at the bigger picture.
“We were one of the only clubs to make any permanent signings in January, while other teams in the league were worried about Financial Fair Play breaches.
“For all the complaints we have about Levy, it is clear that we’re an incredibly well-run club, which this latest data just emphasises.
“For Tottenham to be generating the kind of revenue they are is absolutely incredible.”
Apology needed at Tottenham?
It feels as if Levy has often been something of a pantomime villain in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He very often comes under fire for keeping a tight ship and driving a hard bargain when it comes to the club’s transfer business.

However, it appears that this approach is starting to show its worth, and Spurs fans will hope that the club can begin to reap the rewards of their financial success of the pitch with equal success on it.
