Tottenham ace Pedro Porro would be ‘daft’ not to consider ‘dream moves’ of Barcelona or Real Madrid
We’re delighted to welcome former Scotland right-back Alan Hutton as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…
Tottenham full-back Pedro Porro would be daft not to consider “dream moves” to Barcelona or Real Madrid, Alan Hutton has said.
Tottenham News has been told by a recruitment source with links to Spurs that La Liga giants Barca and Madrid are tracking the progress of Porro, with the right-back having been a standout performer under Ange Postecoglou this season.
Porro has six assists to his name in the Premier League this season and his impressive displays are drawing admiring glances from heavyweights in his country of birth.

Surprise package Girona, who sit second in LaLiga to Madrid only on goal difference, are also keeping an eye on his situation according to our source.
Ex-Spurs defender Hutton, speaking to Tottenham News, hopes Porro stays and continues to impress under Postecoglou, but could understand why the lure of a return to the giants in Spain might prove hard to ignore.
“Of course it would (be tempting), I mean you’d be daft not to (consider it),” he said.
“It’s one of those, they’re kind of the dream teams, so if you’re playing at a level where they’re interested and looking at you, and of course it’s where you’re from, it’s something that might interest you.
“On the flip side to that, it’s taken him a little bit of time to obviously bed into the Tottenham team.

“He’s been outstanding, I think Ange has been amazing for him, really given him that freedom to go and express himself and they’re building something.
“So, would you want to leave? But I do understand the pull of Barcelona and Real Madrid. Ultimately you have to wait and see, is there going to be an actual offer or is it all rumour?”
Tottenham rebounded from their defeat to Brighton on December 28 by defeating Bournemouth 3-1 on New Year’s Eve, a result that leaves them only six points off top spot and just one back of fourth.
They take a break from Premier League action to host Burnley in the FA Cup third round on Friday (5 January).
In other Tottenham news, one player is being tipped as a makeweight in a deal to sign a Juventus ace.
