Richarlison in Tottenham exit claim amid Everton struggle – Exclusive

Tottenham will undoubtedly be having a clear-out this summer, and Richarlison is one of a handful of players who could depart North London.

As of right now, Spurs’ only focus will be on the Europa League, given the fact that it is their only remaining chance of a trophy, but also to secure European football next season.

Ange Postecoglou is still clinging on to his job, while several first-team players are doing the same with their own future at Spurs after what has been a dismal domestic campaign.

Only when Tottenham know their European fate will attention turn to summer decisions, but when that time comes around, they will have a big one to make on the future of Richarlison.

Everton could re-sign Richarlison this summer

It seems almost nailed on that Richarlison will leave Tottenham at the end of the campaign, though it remains unclear where his next adventure would take him.

Everton have been mooted as a potential landing spot for the Brazilian, though Paul Robinson, when speaking to Tottenham News, thinks any deal in that regard would depend on one particular sale for the Toffees.

He said: “I think Everton are struggling with FFP and PSR. They’re obviously still going to have to toe that line very carefully.

Richarlison hasn’t contributed much in terms of numbers at Spurs.

“I think a lot of Everton’s transfer business will depend on the future of Jarred Branthwaite. If he is to leave the club, then they’ve got a bit of wiggle room and they can bring in certain players. Tottenham are going to want some kind of recuperation on Richarlison.

“They paid £50m there and I think they’re not going to get that, and I don’t think he’s a player in that area of the pitch that Everton will be looking at to overspend, if you like. I think there are other areas of the pitch. Their recruitment depends on their outgoings, and I’m not so sure that Everton are going to have the type of money that Tottenham will want for Richarlison.”

Postecoglou must afford Richarlison one last chance

While he hasn’t impressed much, Richarlison hasn’t been afforded the same level of patience as other attackers in the squad.

He is very much a confidence player, and given the little faith he has had in him, it’s not much of a surprise that he hasn’t reached the standards expected.

With little left to play for, Postecoglou would be taking no risk in giving him a chance to redeem himself in the Premier League ahead of the final run-in.
