Meanwhile, frustration has emerged after a recent transfer update on Richarlison [via Sky Sports News, 2 January, 7:49 am].

And ex-Spurs scout Bryan King - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - would like to see the Brazillian replaced by Kolo Muani.

"They must look to get a deal for Kolo Muani done," King said.

"However, that still leaves Richarlison's future up in the air. They've got to get rid of him. Tottenham have got to get rid of him and replace him with a player of a higher quality.

"Richarlison had a big name when he arrived. However, he hasn't produced the kind of form that you would expect considering the big money that was paid for him. Therefore, if you can move him on and put that money toward Kolo Muani, get it done."

Spurs would make a serious statement by signing Kolo Muani in January. Although the Frenchman hasn't succeded at PSG as he might have liked, he is no doubt a player of quality.

Therefore, perhaps all he needs is a fresh start at a brand new club, and if Tottenham can win the race for his signature, they could reap the rewards.

However, a deal likely won't come cheap, even if it is just a loan as wages will no doubt be high. Therefore, moving Richarlison on could help facilitate a transfer for Kolo Muani.

The striker was spotted in a bizarre incident recently as he continues to be sidelined due to injury.

And his constant injury issues are just one of the reasons why Spurs might benefit from replacing him with Kolo Muani.
