Richarlison exit claim emerges after Sky Sports update on Tottenham ‘disaster’
Richarlison’s long-term Tottenham future appears to be up in the air.
According to Sky Sports News (2 January, 7:49 am), the Brazillian will not be leaving Tottenham during the January transfer window, with the club not planning to allow him to leave.
This is despite his constant injury setbacks and calls for Spurs to cut ties with the striker.
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Richarlison would be made available for transfer, provided the money was right.
“I cannot understand why the club wouldn’t want to let him go,” Wenham said.
“He doesn’t play, doesn’t contribute and takes home £150,000-per-week. Therefore, I find these reports that he isn’t available for transfer unbelievable.
“I don’t see how he could possibly be unavailable for transfer when he has been a complete disaster of a signing. Of course, he would be available, the money would just have to be right.”
Richarlison to leave Tottenham in January?
It is hard to dispute that Richarlison has been nothing short of a disaster since moving to North London.
Considering the fee that was paid for him, the 27-year-old has not scored anywhere near enough goals in a Spurs shirt. Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he were to move on, with a potential loan agreement having been mooted.
However, it seems as though he might not be sold in January, with Sky Sports reporting that the player himself wants to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Therefore, any potential exit might have to wait until the summer.
