Ange Postecoglou will make three changes when Tottenham play Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday, according to a Spurs insider.

Postecoglou is under pressure and in need of a result at St Mary's Stadium on 15 December, with Spurs winless in their last five and Daniel Levy expected to make a sack decision imminently.

The Australian tore into Timo Werner after his woeful display in the 1-1 UEFA Europa League draw with Rangers at Ibrox on Thursday [12 December], and the Spurs boss is expected to axe the German against the Saints as a result.

And ex-Spurs scout Bryan King - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - has revealed how he expects the rest of the Tottenham team to line up.

"They have got to get a result against Southampton," King said.

"The pressure is now on Postecoglou and the players. Therefore, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke will come back into the team, without a doubt.

"I expect that the back five will remain the same as it was against Rangers, I'd expect Pape Matar Sarr to replace Rodrigo Bentancur and Kulusevski to replace Bissouma, with those two suspended.

"James Maddison will probably keep his place in midfield, and then Solanke in for Werner."

Ange Postecoglou to make three Tottenham changes against Southampton?

Spurs are dealing with an "extraordinary" injury crisis which has sparked a behind-the-scenes internal investigation in North London.

Therefore, a lot of people will likely have sympathy for Postecoglou. However, football is a result business, and no matter what the situation, those higher up at Spurs will be expecting three points against bottom-of-the-table Southampton.

This game could prove defining for Postecoglou and Spurs' season, and the 59-year-old will need to ensure he gets his team selection spot on.
