Pedro Porro could seek Tottenham exit after ‘strange’ reveal on Monday
John Wenham claims Pedro Porro could seek a move away from Tottenham after the right-back was left out of the Spain squad.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose couldn’t believe that the 24-year-old was not included in the provisional Spain squad ahead of the 2024 UEFA European Championship.
Following the snub, Porro took to social media to wish his country well ahead of the tournament in Germany.
But Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – is fearful of how the defender might react to this decision.
“I found it very strange that he wasn’t selected,” Wenham said.
“He got nine assists in the Premier League, which is difficult to do as a right-back.
“I thought he excelled this season and adapted well to Ange Postecoglou’s demands.
“This could go one of two ways. Porro could either get his head down and perform even better next season, which would be the hope.
“Or the worry is that he looks to seek a move away to get himself into contention for the Spain squad.”
Pedro Porro could become frustrated at Tottenham after Spain snub
Every player dreams of representing their country at a major tournament.
After the season he had, Porro would have thought he was guaranteed to do just that.
This will leave the Spaniard feeling very frustrated.

He will be left wondering what more he needs to do.
Unfortunately, the answer to that could potentially involve seeking a move to a bigger club, perhaps in Spain.
In other Tottenham news, Wenham was left stunned after an “unknown quantity” signed a new long-term deal with the club.
