Neal Maupay told to ‘grow up’ after what he did to Tottenham ace James Maddison

Bryan King has urged Neal Maupay to “grow up” after the Everton forward aimed a dig at Tottenham star James Maddison.

The ex-Spurs scout claims Maupay’s antics this week were “childish”.

Maddison was left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad, with Maupay posting an image of himself holding three darts via his official X account (6 June) in response.

And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – is not a fan of the Frenchman’s behaviour.

“Social media again,” King said.

“Maupay has nothing to do with Maddison missing out on the England squad.

“This is just a little player spat. It is childish and Maupay ought to grow up.”

Tottenham midfielder James Maddison must use Neal Maupay’s criticism as fuel

There are clearly some unresolved issues from the two players’ spat earlier this year.

However, Maddison won’t be concerned with what Maupay thinks.

The Everton forward was nowhere near his national team and should be more focused on his career.

And his little dig should only encourage Maddison to improve next season and work his way back into the England squad.
