Mikey Moore to return v Tamworth in seven Tottenham changes – Spurs Insider

Mikey Moore is expected to return in one of six Tottenham changes for the FA Cup third-round tie with Tamworth on Sunday.

Ange Postecoglou’s side will travel to the Lamb Ground on 12 January with Chris Sutton sharing a “sensational” prediction ahead of the match.

Moore returned to the bench for the 1-0 Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg win over Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday (8 January), which saw one player involved in a bizarre incident after the match.

And Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – expects the 17-year-old to return to the starting lineup on Sunday.

“I suspect Radu Drăgușin will start alongside Alfie Dorrington at the back, with Antonín Kinský keeping his place,” Wenham said.

“This is a good chance for Dorrington to make his full debut. I imagine Sergio Reguilón will start at left-back, personally, he wouldn’t be my choice, but I think that is what is going to happen. That would then allow Djed Spence to play in his natural position at right-back.

“I could then see Archie Gray being given a go in midfield alongside Pape Matar Sarr, with James Maddison playing further ahead. Brennan Johnson will likely get the nod on the right and then we could see Moore return on the left, while Will Lankshear is allowed to lead the line.”

Mikey Moore to return for Tottenham against Tamworth?

Postecoglou is still under pressure despite the win against Liverpool.

Therefore, the Australian will be aware that anything other than a convincing win over National League opposition could prove costly. As a result, he won’t want to experiment with his side too much.

However, with the games coming thick and fast, and the large gap between Tottenham and Tamworth, Spurs’ youngsters should have more than enough to get the job done.

In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou has provided an update on Rodrigo Bentancur.
