Levy ‘to make sack decision at Tottenham’ after new Postecoglou reveal
Ange Postecoglou’s recent comments could lead to Daniel Levy making a sack decision at Tottenham.
Postecoglou is under serious pressure in North London.
Levy is expected to sack the Australian if Spurs fail to advance to the last four of the Europa League when they travel to Deutsche Bank Park on Thursday (17 April) to take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their Europa League last-eight tie.
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (10 April), Postecoglou knows that victory is needed in Germany.
Therefore, everyone at the club needs to be pulling in the same direction, and James Maddison and Dominic Solanke recently demonstrated that they’re ready to fight for their manager. However, it doesn’t seem as though everyone is on the same page, which could lead to Levy stepping in.

Levy ‘could fire Tottenham staff member after Postecoglou reveal’
Ahead of Spurs’ draw with Frankfurt, Paul O Keefe shared via X (10 April) that Wilson Odobert had undergone scans after complaining of a tightness in his hamstring.
This left Tottenham supporters fuming, with calls made for the medical team in North London to be sacked. However, Odobert did end up featuring in the matchday squad, and Postecoglou clearly wasn’t happy that injury news about the Frenchman had gotten out before such a big game.
Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash with Wolves at Molinuex on Sunday (13 April), Postecoglou revealed that Tottenham have a leak behind the scenes.
Premier League 2024/25 | Position | Points |
Tottenham | 14th | 37 |
Everton | 15th | 35 |
West Ham | 16th | 35 |
Wolves | 17th | 32 |
And ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes this person could be in serious trouble if identified.
“There have always been leaks at football clubs, even when I was playing,” King said.
“This is nothing new. I think there are more important things to worry about than this leak, results need to improve if Spurs are going to improve their league position or reach the final of the Europa League.
“Postecoglou should be more worried about how the team is performing. However, if there is a leak, then obviously that person needs to be sorted out. That could mean dismissal, or perhaps a fine or suspension. Whoever it is, they better watch out.
“If this is as serious as Postecoglou says it is, then the person could be sacked by Levy. It isn’t nice to have a leak within the football club, and the best way to solve it would be to remove them.”

Postecoglou is facing an uphill battle at Tottenham
Not only are results going against the 59-year-old, but now it appears as though Postecoglou has some of his own staff members working against him.
As a result, it looks like it could be a long road back for the Australian to save himself at Tottenham.
