Levy could sack Postecoglou amid Tottenham protests – Spurs insider
Paul Robinson believes Daniel Levy could sack Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham fans plan to lead protests before upcoming matches.
With many growing frustrated and tireless over Levy’s long-term ownership in North London [GiveMeSport], supporters are planning to protest before home matches against Liverpool [22 December] and Wolves [29 December].
And Robinson – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks it could be Postecoglou who takes the hit despite anger being aimed towards the owner and his lack of on-pitch investment.
“It’s nothing new – it’s been there for a long time at Tottenham. Daniel Levy gets a tough rap if you look at what he’s done in his time at Spurs, and what he’s achieved,” he said.
“Looking at the club as a business, the figures and revenue it’s brought in, we talk all the time about the fantastic stadium and the fantastic training ground, the American football facilities, the racing track and even the hospitality.
“Everything is the best in the world but they just haven’t got it right on the pitch. He’s gone for two ‘win-now’ managers Antonio Conte and Jose Mourino, who didn’t work. Ange Postecoglou has made big decisions, granted they may not been given enough funding, but he’s not shied away from wanting to win trophies.
“The thing about when Levy does start getting stick at Tottenham, you generally find that the manager goes pretty quickly after that starts. It’s probably not a good sign for Ange Postecoglou.”
Daniel Levy to sack Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham?
Fans have every right to be frustrated with the team’s recent performances, but until Levy decides to invest more into the squad, things are unlikely to change.

Postecoglou is currently without his two first-choice centre-backs, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, seeing Radu Dragusin pair up alongside 18-year-old Archie Gray instead.
Romero has even gone as far as to call Levy out for a lack of spending, though the manager quickly squashed any behind-the-scenes issues.
