Leeds United to make instant bid for Tottenham defender Joe Rodon under one condition
John Wenham believes Leeds United will make a bid for Tottenham defender Joe Rodon provided they achieve promotion to the Premier League.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose can see the Whites moving quickly for the centre-back should they win the Championship play-off final on Sunday 26 May.
Rodon has been playing his football on loan at Elland Road this season, with Daniel Farke’s side booking their place at Wembley with a 4-0 victory over Norwich on Thursday (16 May).
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the outcome of the final will go a long way in determining where Rodon’s future lies.
“Rodon’s Tottenham future is dependent on the Championship play-offs,” Wenham said.
“Should Leeds United secure promotion, I imagine they will look to sign Rodon permanently.
“I imagine a bid will come in very quickly if they secure a return to the Premier League.”
Will Joe Rodon quit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer?
Whether or not he moves to Leeds United, it is hard to see Rodon remaining in North London.
With the likes of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin already at the club, there isn’t much room for the Wales international.
A permanent transfer to Leeds would make perfect sense for all parties involved, especially if they are promoted to the Premier League.

Daniel Levy will be keen to make some money back on Rodon, and for that reason, the Spurs chairman could find himself supporting Leeds in the play-off final.
