Kulusevski ‘to start mass exodus at Tottenham’ under one condition – Exclusive

Dejan Kulusevki could be one of several players to leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham will be well aware of the importance of winning the Europa League this season, for several reasons.

Not only is it the only chance Ange Postecoglou has of saving his job, but it is also their only chance of securing European football next season.

Ultimately, their near-relegation form has piled the pressure on them to succeed in Europe, and a failure to do that could see many players depart in the summer.

Tottenham could lose several players this summer

Kulusevski has already been linked with a move away from Tottenham, and those rumours will intensify if Spurs fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Tottenham already have a huge summer ahead, but Paul Robinson thinks it will become even harder if they don’t win the Europa League.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he said: “They’ll lose a lot of players if they don’t get Champions League. You’re looking at a club that’s going to finish 16th or 17th in the Premier League. So much rests on this Europa League.

How the semi-finals look in the Europa League.

“The manager’s future, players’ future, financially for the club, attracting players to the club. It’s vital. People say quite flippantly, Tottenham’s season rests on the Europa League. Yes, it does. But there are also so many subplots to that. When you look at the manager’s future, you look at players’ future, you look at finances, and you also look at attracting players for next season.

“And then you look at keeping the players that you’ve got. Financially, you have to cut your cloth accordingly now because of FFP and PSR. And without the income, Tottenham might be in a situation where they have to look at that.”

Postecoglou must deliver success to Tottenham

Postecoglou is likely to be sacked regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season, but he will not want to end his tenure without silverware.

After all, he always wins a trophy in his second season…
