Kulusevski to hold talks with Hugo Larsson amid £40m+ Tottenham transfer news
Dejan Kulusevski could play a major part in Tottenham signing Hugo Larsson from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Tottenham have struggled this season, with Ange Postecoglou hanging by a thread in North London.
Most of Spurs’ players have failed to perform for their manager. However, Kulusevski has been one of the exceptions to that rule, often impressing in what has been a rather underwhelming campaign for Spurs.
The Swede has scored nine goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions. Therefore, supporters will be desperate to keep hold of the 24-year-old, who could now lend Tottenham a helping hand off the pitch as well as on it.
Dejan Kulusevski to convince Hugo Larsson to join Tottenham?
Kulusevski is one of two Swedish players at Tottenham, with 18-year-old Lucas Bergvall also starring regularly in the first team this season.
And if Kulusevski and Bergvall’s word is anything to go by, Spurs could soon add a third Swede to their ranks. As reported by SportBILD via SportWitness (12 February), Tottenham are one of many top teams who are keen to sign Larsson this summer.
The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City are all involved in the race for the midfielder, who Frankfurt bosses want £41.6million for, which could make things difficult.
However, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Kulusevski and Bergvall could help to facilitate a transfer.
“They have already brought Bergvall in, for a lot less of course,” King said.
“Larsson moved out of Sweden before Bergvall did and he has since established himself in Germany. Spurs should be looking at these players before they make the move to Holland or Germany.
“However, I’m sure that Kulusevski and Bergvall will be recommending the club to Larsson to help get a transfer across the line. They’ll obviously meet up on international duty, and I imagine they will be selling life at Tottenham to Larsson.”
Tottenham to sign Hugo Larsson from Eintracht Frankfurt?
Kulusevski and Bergvall are two of Spurs’ most exciting players. Therefore, fans would likely welcome fellow Sweden international Larsson, especially considering how many top teams want him.
However, the fact that so many big clubs are chasing his signature could make things tricky. Therefore, Spurs need to hope that Kulusevski and Bergvall’s recommendation goes a long way.

If the duo do convince 20-year-old Larsson to join the club, it will represent once again just how important both players are to Tottenham.
