Harry Kane transfer leak: Bayern Munich star to re-sign for Tottenham – Exclusive
Harry Kane has been the subject of transfer talk as details of the Tottenham Hotspur legend’s release clause at Bayern Munich emerged.
The 31-year-old England captain has two-and-a-half years remaining on the contract he signed when he emotionally departed his local club in 2023.
Kane can however green light a move for £67million this summer and £54million next winter if desired, which has naturally alerted potential suitors and incited talk of a fairytale Tottenham return.

Kane to Arsenal discussed as Darke debates public details
As well as Kane potentially returning to Tottenham later in his illustrious career – which remains without a major trophy after both England and Bayern fell at late hurdles in respective competitions last year – wild rumours have been bandied around of a switch to Arsenal.
The prospect of the unfathomable move was quickly rubbished by TV commentator Ian Darke, who revealed he finds in intriguing that someone out there is “testing the water” towards a potential transfer by releasing details of his contract clauses.
Darke, speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, has admitted he believes the days of controversy-ridden transfers – such as the notorious move of Sol Campbell across the North London divide in 2001 – are a thing of the past.
“I find it interesting wondering who put the information about Harry Kane’s release clause out in the public domain – somebody somewhere has thrown that out: either Kane’s representatives or Bayern, as if people are testing the water,” he highlighted.
“I bet he comes back and ends his career in the Premier League at some point, somewhere – maybe a swan song at Spurs. The jokes about Arsenal… there is no way in this world Kane will ever play for Arsenal.
“I don’t think there will ever be a high-profile transfer between, say, Manchester City and Liverpool again for instance. The same certainly goes for Tottenham and Arsenal, or someone with a legacy at Spurs like Kane ever making that move. You just couldn’t do that.”

Kane could come back to Tottenham after Bayern Munich success
Darke’s projection of a Premier League return further down the line for Kane is certainly not far-fetched given his lifetime connection with Tottenham, combined with the fact he will be into his mid-thirties by the time it becomes a viable option.
Right now, the all-time Spurs and England top goalscorer is flourishing in a Bayern Munich team now on the cusp of earning him his first major piece of silverware, with his side eight points clear at the Bundesliga summit.
The German giants also qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League in midweek – albeit via a major scare by Celtic – and will face Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen, who beat them to the league title last term in Kane’s debut season.
Having hit a gargantuan 280 goals for Spurs, Kane already has 73 in 76 games for Bayern and his next goal will be his 30th of the season.
Once he has added a glittering array of trophies to his aching cabinet, Kane may feel he has one last offering in the Premier League and the “swan song” at Spurs that Darke and others envisage.
