Giovani Lo Celso keen to quit Tottenham amid Argentina fear as Fabrizio Romano update emerges
Bryan King believes Giovani Lo Celso is keen to quit Tottenham in search of regular first-team football.
The ex-Spurs scout claims that the midfielder could fall down the pecking order for Argentina if he spends another season on the sidelines in North London.
It comes after Fabrizio Romano revealed via X (21 May) that Lo Celso is “one to watch” when it comes to outgoing Tottenham players this summer.
And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – is unsurprised that the midfielder could be on his way out.
“What he wants is regular football, that is for sure,” King said.
“He didn’t get that this season, and that will impact him as an international player.
“It could put his place with Argentina at risk because he isn’t playing regularly.
“Selling Lo Celso would be a good way of freeing up money to bring in new players.”
Ange Postecoglou likely to allow Giovani Lo Celso to leave Tottenham
There is little point in keeping Lo Celso at Tottenham.
He was hardly used this season and his contract with the club expires next summer.
If the club fail to sell him this summer, they will lose him for free next year.
This would represent a disaster for Daniel Levy considering the money that was spent to bring him to the club initially.
In other Tottenham news, one player would be prepared to quit the club and join the Saudi Pro League.
