‘Frank must seal key signing at Tottenham after what happened to Postecoglou’
Thomas Frank could be set to boost his Tottenham hopes with his transfer business.
The Lilywhites have already conducted some positive business at this stage of the window, with Mohammed Kudus coming in from West Ham.
This could shortly be followed by Morgan Gibbs-White if a deal can be ironed out with Nottingham Forest after some initial resistance.
Even with these potential deals, a deal for Davide Frattesi at Inter Milan could prove to have a telling impact on Frank’s success in N17.
Frattesi could transform Tottenham under Frank
It does feel as if a revolution is underway with the Dane in charge, something that was needed after last season’s failings in the Premier League.
This has seen a fair share of frustration be vented towards the current midfield set up at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
As a result, the addition of an experienced head like the Italy international could prove to be an excellent piece of business this summer.
This has been echoed by ex-Brentford manager Martin Allen, who believes this sort of signing could solve the issues that Ange Postecoglou faced before he was sacked.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Allen said: “I think Tottenham need a midfield player, without a doubt.
“Remember, they finished near the bottom of the table, and that puts question marks over the whole team.
“That’s why Ange Postecoglou got the sack, and many of those players are lucky to still be at Tottenham.
“To get a new midfield signing like Frattesi down the spine of the team could prove to be key and very important if Tottenham are to be successful this year.”
Tottenham should go all out for Frattesi
It does feel as if it is the end of the road for someone like Yves Bissouma, who has struggled to showcase his talents since signing from Brighton.
This could see a summer sale make sense for all parties in the coming weeks, especially if someone like the 25-year-old becomes available at Inter.
The Italian has been a regular in Serie A for many years and could prove to be a perfect addition alongside the likes of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.
