Son Heung-min may not be in North London next season, Tottenham News has learned.

The South Korea international has made over 450 appearances for the Lilywhites, but may have played his last game for them.

Sources tell Tottenham News that Son has indeed held talks over a move to Fenerbahce this summer.

Son future at Spurs currently hangs in the balance

Tottenham News has also learned that Son now has a 50-50 chance of leaving in the coming weeks.

The 32-year-old previously worked with Jose Mourinho, so a move to Fenerbahce makes sense for him.

The Portuguese managed to get the best out of Son in North London and a reunion remains on the cards, putting his future at Spurs in major jeopardy.

The former Bayer Leverkusen winger’s contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium runs out next summer,

A one-year extension was signed at the start of 2025, giving the North London outfit the option of cashing in on his services this summer.

Tottenham should look for a £30m+ fee for Son this summer

Tottenham should seize the opportunity to sell Son this summer if they can secure £30-35million.

At 32, his peak performance has waned, and with only one year left on his contract, his value will plummet if he leaves for free in 2026.

While still a talented forward, his declining pace and inconsistent output suggest he’s no longer indispensable.

A move to a less demanding league, like the Turkish first division, Bundesliga or Saudi Pro League, could see Son thrive for three to four more years, making him an attractive target for clubs willing to pay a premium.

Cashing in now allows Spurs to reinvest in younger talent to build a competitive squad for the future.
