Exclusive: Luka Vuskovic set for Dutch loan with Tottenham pre-agreed transfer already tied up
Luka Vuskovic is set to leave Hajduk Split to join a club based in the Netherlands on loan, Tottenham News has been told.
Spurs have already secured the signing of the talented central defender in a deal worth £12million (Evening Standard, 25 September).
The Croatian was in high demand, with top European sides such as Manchester City, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain all chasing the 16-year-old’s signature.

Due to the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union, FIFA rules prohibit British clubs from signing overseas players who are under the age of 18, which means Vuskovic must wait until 2025 when he turns 18 to join Tottenham, with a contract already in place which runs until 2030.
In the meantime, a recruitment source with links to Spurs and the Croatian market has told Tottenham News that Vuskovic is already set to leave Hajduk Split ahead of his move to North London next year.
The 6ft 3in, right-footed defender is set to join a club in the Netherlands on loan as he looks to accelerate his development ahead of his arrival in the Premier League.
Vuskovic made his professional debut for Hajduk Split in February 2023 at the age of 15, making him the youngest player to ever compete in Croatia’s top flight.

He became Hajduk’s youngest-ever goalscorer when he netted against NK Osijek, five days after he had celebrated turning 16.
Vuskovic would go on to make 11 appearances in total last season as he helped his side to lift the Croatian Cup, while also captaining the club’s Under-19s to the UEFA Youth League final.
The centre-back has already made five appearances for Croatia at Under-17 level, scoring once.
In other Tottenham news, one 93 per cent ace at the club has proved with his recent performances that he is deserving of a promotion in Postecoglou’s squad.
