Ex-Tottenham employee baffled by £3million revelation after what Daniel Levy did recently
Bryan King has been left baffled after Daniel Levy received a £3million bonus at Tottenham despite his controversial decision to increase season ticket prices ahead of next season.
The ex-Spurs scout believes it is no surprise that Levy is an unpopular man in North London based on this recent revelation.
Spurs recently posted their financial accounts for the year ending June 30 2023 (Tottenham Hotspur Official Website, 3 April), which revealed that Levy had been paid a £3million bonus while also seeing his salary increased from £3.3million to £3.6million.
King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Levy could have used some of his bonus to help reduce the cost for Spurs supporters.
“I don’t understand how during a year where Tottenham posted an overall loss, Levy has received a bonus on top of his existing salary, which is already substantial.
“It is not surprising that the supporters are disapproving of his work. He has put up the ticket prices after being handed a bonus of £3million.
“That £3million could have gone toward reducing the increased cost of the season tickets, but he clearly doesn’t see it that way.”
Daniel Levy continues to make unpopular decisions at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Seeing that Levy is to be paid more money while ticket prices are increasing will feel like a slap in the face for loyal Tottenham supporters.
Those Spurs supporters have every right to be angry with the Spurs chairman, who continues to make very unpopular decisions in North London.
Spurs also posted an overall loss for the year, which is just another reason why this announcement will not have gone down well among the Tottenham faithful.

Until they start to see some success on the pitch, questions will likely continue to be pointed in Levy’s direction, especially if his pay packet continues to increase.
