Everton could offer Tottenham £40m for Richarlison in ‘perfect’ transfer verdict

John Wenham has speculated that Everton could offer Tottenham £40million for Richarlison.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose thinks the Brazillian would be the “perfect” signing for the Toffees ahead of their stadium move.

As reported by The Athletic [29 November], Spurs could list Richarlison on the transfer market in 2025. The 27-year-old was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer, but he decided to stay at Tottenham.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – wants Spurs to accept a cut-price transfer offer for the striker.

“I could see Everton trying to re-sign Richarlison,” Wenham said.

“He could be the perfect signing for when they move into their new stadium. A big statement transfer, and a player who loves Everton.

“However, what could they offer, probably £40million at the absolute maximum? Even if they offered £30million, I’d still say Tottenham should cut their losses and accept that.”

Everton to offer Tottenham £40million for Richarlison?

It seems as though Richarlison’s future lies away from North London, with a potential loan move speculated ahead of the January transfer window.

However, if the club were to receive a permanent transfer offer, that would be even better.

Richarlison would likely welcome a move back to Everton, and with a takeover edging closer at Goodison Park, the Toffees could soon have the finances to facilitate such a move.

Therefore, should an offer come in, Spurs would be wise to bite Everton’s hand off and cut their losses.
