Dominic Solanke ‘could leave Tottenham’ as £30m transfer news emerges
Dominic Solanke could be sold to make room for a new striker to join Tottenham this summer.
Ahead of Spurs’ UEFA Europa League last-eight tie against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (10 April), there has been plenty of speculation around Ange Postecoglou’s future.
However, Postecoglou might not be the only person headed for a Tottenham exit in the coming months.
There are likely to be changes made within the squad this summer, especially with a cut-price Richarlison deal on the cards in North London.
However, it appears as though Solanke’s position at Tottenham isn’t completely safe either.

Solanke could be sold to make room for Premier League striker
As reported by TBR Football (6 April), Tottenham, Liverpool, and Newcastle United sent scouts to watch Liam Delap in Ipswich Town’s 2-1 Premier League defeat to Wolves at Portman Road on Saturday (5 April).
Delap’s release clause will drop to £30million if Ipswich are relegated from the Premier League, with Manchester United and Chelsea also circling [The Guardian].

Tottenham could pay as much as £60million to sign the striker. However, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes either Solanke or Richarlison would need to be sold to make room for Delap.
“Before Tottenham can sign anybody, they have to sort out Solanke and Richarlison’s futures,” King said.
“Richarlison has got to be moved on from the football club. He cost an awful lot of money, as did Solanke, and one of them will need to go if Delap is signed.
“I hope it is Richarlison who they decide to sell. Ever since he was at Everton, I haven’t been a fan of his reputation. He isn’t a good club man, and he hasn’t performed on the pitch. However, it wouldn’t be wise to go out and buy Delap until you’ve got rid of either Richarlison or Solanke.”

Delap would be a smart signing for Tottenham
Despite Ipswich’s struggles this season, Delap has displayed plenty of potential. Therefore, the 22-year-old would be an exciting signing for Tottenham.
However, he should be brought in as a replacement for Richarlison, not Solanke, as the latter has only spent one season in North London and deserves a chance to continue proving himself.
