Destiny Udogie slammed after ‘disappointing’ Tottenham scenes v Chelsea
Destiny Udogie has failed to build on his impressive debut season with Tottenham.
It has been a year to forget for Spurs, with Daniel Levy increasingly likely to sack Ange Postecoglou.
However, if Postecoglou is relieved of his duties, he will no doubt feel as though he was let down by a host of players in North London, with Udogie certainly falling into this category.
After impressing in the early months of his Spurs career, the 22-year-old has struggled this season, spending a significant amount of time on the sidelines and disappointing when he has played.
And after what happened against Chelsea, a call has been made for the defender to be dropped to the bench.

Postecoglou told to bench Udogie for Tottenham v Southampton
Tottenham suffered their almost customary defeat at Stamford Bridge on Thursday (3 April) as they were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea in the Premier League.
It was a night to forget for all involved, as Postecoglou once again clashed with Tottenham supporters.

Manchester United | 13th | 37 |
Tottenham | 14th | 34 |
Everton | 15th | 34 |
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – was particularly disappointed by Udogie and has called for the Italian to be left out when Postecoglou’s side host Southampton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday (6 April).
“Going into the game, I was quite pleased with the lineup,” Wenham said.
“I was happy to see the likes of Lucas Bergvall and Wilson Odobert starting. Of course, it is positive to have Dominic Solanke back, and the defence looked strong on paper.
“Postecoglou made a big decision to start Djed Spence ahead of Pedro Porro at right-back. However, I do think we’re better with Porro on the right and Spence on the left.
“Udogie needs to be taken out of the team, I thought he was very disappointing against Chelsea and has been disappointing since his return from injury.”

Udogie needs to do more at Tottenham
At the start of the season, it looked as though Udogie and Porro would be the starting full-backs.
However, Spence has really turned things around and is now arguably one of the first names on the team sheet. As a result, Udogie needs to lift his performance levels, otherwise, he could be spending a lot more time on the bench.
