Destiny Udogie faces up to six weeks out after Tottenham injury development

Tottenham look set to be without yet another defender for the foreseeable future.

Ange Postecoglou saw the pressure on him increase after the 2-2 Premier League draw with Wolves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, during which one big-name player let the Australian down.

However, what was perhaps the biggest frustration from the match was Destiny Udogie being forced off with a hamstring injury early in the second half.

And ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has speculated how long the left-back might be sidelined.

“He looked upset about his injury as he walked off,” King said.

“You knew straight away that it was probably a hamstring injury, and this run of issues seems to just continue and continue. Something isn’t right here.

“Hamstring injuries in particular can be nasty. If it is a serious hamstring injury, Udogie is looking at six weeks on the sidelines, we’ve seen that with Micky van de Ven.”

Destiny Udogie to miss six weeks of action at Tottenham?

Spurs cannot afford to lose Udogie for a substantial amount of time, especially not after Ben Davies’ latest injury setback.

Therefore, Postecoglou will be keeping his fingers crossed that the 22-year-old hasn’t suffered a serious injury. However, if he has, the one shining light for Spurs is that January is just around the corner.

If Udogie is ruled out for a considerable amount of time, a new left-back must be signed in January.
