Dele Alli to hold talks to ‘help Tottenham seal new £20m transfer’

Dele Alli could play a major part in Nico Paz’s potential decision to join Tottenham.

Alli remains a fan favourite in North London after his successful spell previously with Spurs.

The 28-year-old recently signed for Como 1907, with Tottenham News front and centre of the transfer announcement.

And it looks as though Alli could do his former club and Ange Postecoglou a big favour as Tottenham eye a move for the Englishman’s Como teammate, Paz.

Como midfielder Paz could cost Tottenham as much as £20million

As reported by TBR Football (27 February), Spurs scouts are keen on Paz, which could spell the end of the road at Tottenham for James Maddison.

And with Alli playing his football in Italy, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – predicts the midfielder to hold talks with Paz, who he expects could cost as much as £20million.

“I’m sure that Alli will have words with Paz,” King said.

“He will no doubt be very interested to hear what Alli has to say about life at Tottenham. I’d imagine the starting price for Paz will be around £12million, and that could reach a figure of £20m if he is as successful as everyone hopes he will be.

“Perhaps a pre-season game with Como will be included in that deal too. That would be of big interest to the club, and of big interest to Alli, who would be able to make a wonderful return to Tottenham.”

Tottenham should do what they can to sign Paz

It could be a big summer for Spurs in the midfield department.

Rodrigo Bentancur could be offered a contract worth £150,00-a-week.

As a result, this could bring Yves Bissouma’s time with Tottenham to an end. Therefore, another midfielder might need to be brought in.

Paz has made a big impression in Italy, scoring six goals and providing five assists in Serie A. At the age of 20, he could be an exciting signing for the future.

And if Alli can help get a deal across the line, he won’t be doing his popularity in North London any harm.
