Daniel Levy ‘to sack Ange Postecoglou’ if Tottenham lose v Everton
Ange Postecoglou is expected to be sacked if Tottenham lose against Everton on Sunday.
Postecoglou’s side suffered their 11th Premier League defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal in controversial fashion at the Emirates on Wednesday (15 January), with one player leaving his manager in a perilous position after his display.
As a result, Tim Sherwood and Emmanual Adebayor offered their view on Postecoglou being sacked after full-time in the North London derby.
And ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – claims the Australian will be fired by Daniel Levy if Spurs lose to Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday (19 January).
“Arsenal should have been three goals up before Spurs scored,” King said.
“Spurs are in a very low position in the league, and it is becoming a cause for concern. I think their fortunate that multiple teams below them in the Premier League aren’t good enough. This weekend against Everton has now become very important.
“I like Postecoglou, I like his approach, his direct nature and his honesty. However, things aren’t working at that football club as they should be working. Spurs have to avoid defeat on Sunday otherwise I fancy that there will be changes, certainly with the manager, that is for sure.”
Daniel Levy to sack Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou?
Should Spurs lose at Goodison Park on Sunday, Everton would move to within four points of Postecoglou’s side.
That is quite shocking considering the Toffees are considered to be a side fighting relegation while Spurs would have had hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League at the beginning of the season.
Calls have already been made for Spurs to fire their manager ahead of the clash with Everton.

Therefore, if Postecoglou is sacked after a defeat at Goodison Park, it would be hard for the 59-year-old to feel too aggrieved. However, the question would then be who does Levy bring in to replace yet another sacked manager.
