Daniel Levy ‘makes Ange Postecoglou sack decision’ at Tottenham

Daniel Levy appears to have already decided what will happen with Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.

Postecoglou has not had the second season he would have liked in North London.

Spurs are currently sitting 14th in the Premier League and will need to win the UEFA Europa League if they want to avoid this season being a complete disaster.

However, it is thought that Levy has already made his mind up about Postecoglou.

Postecoglou’s fate is already sealed at Tottenham

As reported by The Athletic on Thursday (27 March), Postecoglou’s future is in “serious” doubt, with Andoni Iraola the number one target to replace the Australian at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It has been reported that Spurs are currently focused on finishing this season on a high as they prepare for their Europa League quarter-final tie with Eintracht Frankfurt, a fixture which has been made all the more difficult after Dejan Kulusevski injury news.

Postecoglou’s fate could be decided by Spurs’ progress in the Europa League

However, regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season, there are question marks around Postecoglou’s future.

Therefore, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes this means a decision has already been made, and Spurs are set for a change this summer.

“Regardless of Spurs’ success in the Europa League, Postecoglou is under threat,” Wenham said.

“Therefore, that tells me that the writing is on the wall, and Tottenham will be making a managerial change this summer. The club obviously feel now is the right time to do that.

“Whatever happens between now and the end of the season will not be enough to keep Postecoglou in the job. If we were to win the Europa League, Postecoglou would be our most successful manager of the past four decades. As a result, that was quite a damning report on behalf of Postecoglou.”

Postecoglou looks set to be sacked by Tottenham

After a recent official statement from Levy, it seems clear that Postecoglou will need to win the Europa League as an absolute minimum if he wants to keep his job.

However, it appears as though that might not even be enough anymore, which means Postecoglou’s days in North London might already be numbered.
