‘Daniel Levy investment set at Tottenham’ with new transfers on cards
Ian Darke expects fresh investment from Daniel Levy at Tottenham before the February transfer deadline in the Premier League.
Spurs remain wedged in the bottom half of the Premier League having been beaten 2-1 by North London rivals Arsenal, just three days after they were dragged to extra time by Tamworth in the FA Cup.
Injuries have also plagued Ange Postecoglou’s squad this season, with Levy backed to throw money at transfers to strengthen his defence before 3 February.
“I expect some kind of investment from Daniel Levy,” TV commentator Darke exclusively told Tottenham News.
“I think Postecoglou is struggling with the well-publicised number of injuries he’s contending with.
“They need to freshen it up, especially in the defensive areas.”
Tottenham miss out on top January target
Tottenham have suffered a blow already in their recruitment strategy, with top target Randal Kolo Muani now off to Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain instead (Fabrizio Romano, 14 January).
Antonin Kinsky was the first winter acquisition made by any Premier League club this month when he signed from Slavia Prague and has played every game since with both Guglielmo Vicario and Fraser Forster absent.

The Lilywhites next take on David Moyes’ Everton on Sunday (19 January), but even a win would not distract Tottenham fans from the pressing need to strengthen the team.
In other Tottenham news, the Kolo Muani news has now seen Spurs turn their attention to a young La Liga ace who has already played in the Premier League.
