Cristian Romero exit claim made after what has happened at Tottenham
Cristian Romero has endured a troubled campaign for Tottenham this time out.
Tottenham will not look back at this season with any fondness, though they are still within a chance of winning a trophy.
After advancing past AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, Spurs are now in the quarterfinals and simply need to find success from that to avoid this campaign being labelled as a complete failure.
Their failures have seen pressure mount on Ange Postecoglou but also unrest among the fanbase when it comes to several first team players.

Tottenham unlikely to part ways with Romero
When Romero was called up for Argentina, several concerns emerged in North London, given the fact he had spent such a long time on the sidelines.
Many Tottenham fans called for Romero to be sold as a result of his decision to leave on international duty, but Paul Robinson – when speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t see it happening anytime soon.
He said: “I think he’s a top-quality defender, he’s been out for a long time. And people in football have got short memories.
Tottenham | Appearances | Goals | Tackles | Duels won |

“You look at the partnership that he’s had and got with Van de Ven, everyone was waxing lyrical about the pair of them, you know, 10, 12 months ago.
“And I think when they’re both back fit and both back to their peak of their fitness and game time under their belt, they’re two of the best centre-halves, or if not one of the best pairings in the Premier League. I wouldn’t get rid of him at all.
“When you’re called up for your country, you go and play for your country, don’t you? If you’re fit, if you feel you’re fit, you go and play.
“Everyone has their own opinion on the international break. The majority of players are extremely proud to play for the country and want to.“

Postecoglou hanging by a thread at Tottenham
While the future of several players will come into question at the end of the campaign, the only focus for now has to be on the pitch.
Europa League success is an absolute must for Spurs if they are to make anything of the current campaign, especially when taking into account their failures elsewhere.
Only then will Tottenham be able to make the required decisions to ensure the current season isn’t replicated next time out.
