Bryan Gil to be sold by Tottenham after what he did v Newcastle United in Australia
Bryan King claims Bryan Gil should be the first player out the door at Tottenham this summer.
The ex-Spurs scout believes it will be a busy few months for Ange Postecoglou and his recruitment team.
It comes after Fabrizio Romano revealed via X (21 May) that Gil is one of several players who could leave the club before next season.
Gil featured for Spurs in their post-season friendly with Newcastle in Australia (22 May).
The 23-year-old midfielder was the only player to miss from the spot as the Magpies won on penalties following a 1-1 draw in Melbourne.
And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – can’t see Gil sticking around in North London.
“Tottenham have a lot of work to do,” King said.
“It is going to be a busy summer in terms of outgoings, and Gil would be top of my list to be sold.
“I would also be looking at getting rid of the likes of Emerson Royal, Yves Bissouma, Giovani Lo Celso and Richarlison.
“These are players who would probably interest clubs in Europe and the Premier League.”
Will Ange Postecoglou allow Bryan Gil to leave Tottenham?
Gil has no future at Spurs.
The forward has hardly featured this season, with Postecoglou clearly not the player’s biggest fan.
His penalty miss against Eddie Howe’s side more or less summed up his season.
It is hard to see him getting anywhere near the first team next season, and for the sake of everyone involved, it would be best if the winger were to move on this summer.
In other Tottenham news, one player is set to leave the club on loan next season amid an “outstanding” claim.
