Ben Davies return timeline mooted after latest Tottenham injury update
Bryan King has speculated that Tottenham defender Ben Davies could be ruled out for “four or five weeks”.
The ex-Spurs scout is shocked that yet another Tottenham player has picked up a hamstring injury, with Davies suffering the “unbelievable” blow in the 1-0 Premier League defeat to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Thursday [5 December], a result which seemed to cause supporters to turn on Ange Postecoglou.
An injury update has been provided on Davies, with Postecoglou confirming that the Welshman was to undergo a scan on Friday [via Football London, 6 December].
And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks it could be bad news for the North London side.
“Another hamstring injury,” King said.
“How many Spurs players have been ruled out with hamstring injuries? That is another four or five weeks potentially if it is bad.
“When these kinds of injuries continue to happen you have to question what is happening in the warm-ups, what is happening in training?”
Ben Davies to return to action for Tottenham in 2025?
Hamstring injuries can often be nasty, and it seems as though Spurs are suffering a lot from them at the moment. Therefore, that is something Postecoglou might want to consider looking into.
With Micky van de Ven still sidelined, and Cristian Romero yet to return, the last thing that Spurs needed was for Davies to pick up an injury.
And if the 31-year-old is ruled out until January, it could spell bad news for Postecoglou.

The Australian is already under immense pressure and things don’t get any easier with Chelsea set to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday [8 December], a match which Postecoglou could make three changes for.
In other Tottenham news, Daniel Levy is to send a big £40million message to Postecoglou.
